Red crab-apple berries hanging from rough branches framed the view out the dentist’s window. Waiting a few minutes to get my teeth cleaned I found myself absorbed in the lovely pattern of dark wine berries, varied tones of grey bark, and branches shaping the space I looked thru to woods across the street. All illuminated with the lovely glow of a winter mid-afternoon light and shadow.
The photo above was taken a few days after the snowstorm. Cut daylily stalks and a stray twig create a lovely abstract composition. Don’t you agree? I hope you’re looking and finding the amazing light and shadows of winter and compositions in the snow.
