A happy garden and Early Spring Flowers

In my front garden, Hellebores, Scilla, Vinca, Tulips, and Daffodils (3 kinds), are all in bloom and greet me daily. And, importantly, the garden greets the walkers and driving-byers as well.

Yellow and white Daffs and emerging Sedum ‘Autumn Joy’ foliage.
These hellebores clumps as been abloom for weeks.
Year round foliage adds to spring compositions.

As a garden designer, it’s important to me to include early spring flowers. After a New England winter, our eyes feast and our psyches rejoice. I suspect Our ancestral DNA recognizes flowers as an early indicator of berries or fruit or seeds. Food. Early spring flowers tell us that winter scarcity is over.
