Create a Sitting Garden and Rest Your Brain
A bench or a chair creates the simplest of Sitting Gardens. The gardens I create are designed to invite you to pause and linger. Invite you to engage your senses. Even if just for a few minutes. Turns out that research indicates that the “pause” is important to rest you brain. Resting your brain allows you to process your experiences. Lingering and tuning into your senses invites your body to relax and breath deep. Sitting in the garden invites a “mini-restoration” experience. Some people call this experience ‘Forest Bathing”.
