The “Fairy” rose, the sedum ‘Rosy Glow’, and the Blue Oat Grass helictrichon greeted me as a chorus of color and delight when I returned from New Hampshire’s ferny woods and lake filled views. I was glad to see the new flush of pink flowers on the “Fairy” rose. She had a rough summer with the extreme heat and drought and didn’t bloom her head off as usual.
