Clematis Frame the Mid-September Garden

The laceleaf maple leaves are turning a lovely crimson. Makes a nice contrast with the starry white clematis ‘Sweet Autumn’ climbing the fence and deck post.  The gold and blue hostas and purple ligularia may be a bit scruffy from the dry summer but still carry form and color to contrast to the also white flowered blooming daphne caucisca. It’s been blooming since early summer. 005-c-wl-clematis-frame-mid-sept-garden

  2. thanks Till…glad it inspired you. thanks for writing!

  3. Seasonal aside: I lamented mowing down the last of the “glowing” Heuchera Creme Brulee I planted in Sudbury a few seasons ago. They were still GORGEOUS!
