Posting this now on Saturday of the Columbus Day weekend. Even though the clematis flowers were pummeled in last week’s much needed rain, I enjoyed this view for weeks. Below is what I wrote but didn’t have time to post as September-October is very busy for landscape designers.
I’m inspired each morning when I see this planting from my office. The annual pinky red elephant ears add a richness of the color palette and texture of the combination of the fall blooming white climbing clematis, the white flowered summer-and-still blooming shrub daphne caucasia, the various hostas, and pink annual New Guinea impatient.
