Maria von Brincken Speaks at Boston Flower Show

p-mv-008SUDBURY, MA—Ever wonder how to make outdoor rooms using vines? Award winning landscape designer and flower garden specialist, Maria von Brincken, a featured speaker at this year’s Boston Flower and Garden Show www.bostonflowershow.com will share those techniques. Held at the Seaport World Trade Center, on Sunday, March 20th at 1:30 PM, Maria will talk about vertical gardening as one aspect of making a beautiful garden.

Her color slide lecture “Classic Vertical Gardens: Plants that Flower Up & Around” highlights ornamental vines and how to use them and their structures to create outdoor rooms, focal points, and more.   Slides show examples of vertical gardening and their structures from historic gardens, today’s gardens, and choice examples of individual plants — perennial, annual, and edible that add texture, flower, berry, fragrance, and sometimes fruit–that grow well in our area. A new section features the recent trend of living “green walls”. Maria’s lectures aim to stimulate and expand ideas and design solutions for the home gardener to use in their own gardens.
